I spent the majority of my career on the front lines fighting crime in Dallas County with a population of more than two million and embracing every minute of making the streets safe for the citizens. Now is the time for me to put 34 years of expertise to work for you and serve as your Ellis County Sheriff. What I have to offer is experience, expertise, professionalism, loyalty, integrity, drive, and passion to serve and protect the citizens of Ellis County.

I am here for the public and believe if an issue is important to any citizen of Ellis County, then it is important enough for me to listen to with an open mind. Communication is the vital link to correctly identify the public’s needs and any lack of safety or protection to our community. The successful operation of the Ellis County Sheriff’s department relies heavily on addressing the concerns of each individual.

My goal is to bring 34 years of expertise and professionalism to the citizens of Ellis County for the quality law enforcement every taxpayer deserves. I propose to do this by returning equal or greater value of service for every hard earned dollar spent by each taxpaying citizen of Ellis County while always mindful of who I really work for - YOU, the taxpayer.
